Jurnie Shows Too Many Speakers in a Meeting 🎙️

In some cases, Jurnie may recognize more speakers than were actually present in a meeting. This usually happens when one person’s voice is detected as multiple speakers and appears in the transcript as Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc.

This is easy to correct directly in the transcript.

Why This Happens

  • Changes in microphone quality or background noise

  • One person speaking from different devices

  • Variations in tone, volume, or environment during the meeting

How to Fix It

  1. Open your meeting from the Meetings list.

  2. Go to the Transcript tab.

  3. Find the speakers that belong to the same person (for example, Speaker 1 and Speaker 2).

  4. Click the pen icon next to each speaker’s name.

  5. Change both names to the same person’s name.

✅ Once updated, Jurnie will automatically merge and update the entire transcript, saving that these entries belong to the same speaker.

Good to Know 💡

  • You only need to rename each speaker once.

  • All matching entries in the transcript update automatically.

  • This also improves summary accuracy and action item attribution.
